Accepted Products Charter
In force from 24 September 2026 — Version 1.1 At BeautySwapp, beauty products deserve a second life, provided they can be used with confidence. This Charter sets out, for each type of product, the conditions in which it may be listed and the requirements to be met. It forms part of the Terms of Use. Any product or condition not listed here cannot be published. This English version is provided for convenience; in the event of any discrepancy, the French version shall prevail.
1. The four conditions
New, sealed: never opened; original seal, film or packaging intact.
New, unsealed: opened, never used.
Swatched (fewer than 5 times): tested fewer than five times, never on the eyes or lips.
Very good condition: used with care, only in the categories listed in the table; the remaining quantity is stated in the listing.
A resold cosmetic product, even when new, is no longer covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Products sold on BeautySwapp are intended for external use on healthy, unbroken, non-irritated skin.
2. Rules for every listing
The product is genuine, in its original bottle or case, never decanted or altered.
The best-before date has not passed; for an opened product, the period after opening (PAO, open-jar symbol) has not expired.
The batch number and ingredients list remain legible where they appear on the packaging.
Photos are real and recent and show the surface or level of the product.
The product has been kept away from heat and humidity; the Seller states where it was stored (bathroom, shower, another room).
For any unsealed product, the original applicators (puff, sponge, mini brush) are removed; the listing states "applicators not included for hygiene reasons".
For any swatched product, the Seller applies the hygiene protocol described in the Guide before shipping: top layer removed with a clean spatula, light mist of 70% isopropyl alcohol, air-dried for at least 10 minutes.
The product shows no alteration: unusual texture, smell or colour, traces of moisture, leaks.
3. Products refused in any condition, even new and sealed
Deodorants, in any format.
Sun protection products (SPF, UV protection, sunscreens, sun creams and sprays) and after-sun products.
Products for babies and children aged 0 to 3 (liniments, nappy creams, baby lotions and oils, etc.).
Products presented as intended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Intimate hygiene products and any product claiming intimate use or use on mucous membranes.
Eye-contour skincare.
Decanted or repackaged products, and refills without mandatory labelling.
Counterfeits, testers and samples marked "not for sale", recalled, expired or altered products, and products with a missing, illegible or inconsistent batch code.
Medicines, medical devices and products reserved for professionals.

5. When buying
Before confirming the order, the Buyer acknowledges that the product is sold second-hand, is no longer covered by the manufacturer's warranty and is intended for external use on healthy skin. A patch test before first use is recommended.
6. Changes to this Charter
